The Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament was established in 1862 for the advancement of the Catholic faith in the Anglican Tradition. The CBS constitution outlines six key ‘Objectives’ that the work of the Confraternity should promote. There are two application forms here. One is specifically for the Walsingham Youth Pilgrimage and the other a General Application Form. The general Application Form invites you to state clearly which of the objects your application will seek to advance or promote locally and/or nationally. Please note that the CBS Constitution defines Catholic Priesthood as “Male Bishops and Priests ordained within the male apostolic succession” (CBS Constitution 18.1).
The Trustees consider grant applications twice a year.
The next meeting when grants will be considered is 30th January 2024. Applications must be received no later than Monday 22nd January 2024 in order for these to be considered.
Other dates for 2024: Tuesday May 7th for Walsingham Youth Pilgrimage Applications only, and 16th July for General Grant Applications .
